I know mayo isn’t the best healthwise but this isn’t an everyday thing. I love bread and I love what mayo does to it. Not on the inside– try a little mayo on the outside of your bread and then toast it on a nonstick pan or on a comal– the thing you use to warm up tortillas.
The result is my Saturday morning treat– a torta. Just another word for a big fat sandwich. You can fill it with anything you like. This one was stuffed with last night’s chicken recalentado with a little salsa and onion. Delicious!
